Witness the iconic prairie keystone species like never before!
Join us on this one-of-a-kind Grasslands backcountry experience and follow in the footstep…er… hooves of one of Parks Canada’s greatest conservation success stories.
Guided by expert Grasslands National Park staff across the rugged Frenchman River Valley, you and three others will travel by all-terrain vehicle to get an exclusive view of Grasslands National Park’s Plains Bison.
Stops along the way will deepen your understanding of the ecological and cultural significance of bison, the native prairie landscape, and other flora and fauna you might encounter.
Highlights include exclusive bison viewing opportunities in remote park wilderness, locally sourced lunch on the prairie, and meeting staff instrumental in reintroducing and managing bison after its 120-year absence from Grasslands.
