Hey everyone!

I want to share a memorable experience from one of my trips to Fort Walsh. The fort's beauty lies in its rich history, which significantly enhanced my understanding of Canadian history. At the visitor center, I met a lovely director who provided me with guides to the fort. Interestingly, she is Métis and runs a local artisan shop in Maple Creek called Rebellion. I've visited it twice and found an array of local art, accessories, leather goods, souvenirs, and antiques—everything is colorful and eye-catching. Fantastic!

Now, back to Fort Walsh. The fort made a strong impression on me from the very beginning. The scenic road leading to the fort is stunning, and I captured the journey with my drone. Check out my YouTube channel and social media to see what I'm talking about. Fort Walsh is a National Historic Site of Canada, a former North-West Mounted Police fort, and the site of the Cypress Hills Massacre. During my guided tour, our guide, dressed in a historical North-West Mounted Police uniform, led us through six different buildings, where we explored the lives and duties of the mounted police in the past.

After the tour, I decided to hike the six-kilometer Battle Creek trail. The trail's natural beauty was breathtaking, with wildflowers, fresh air, wildlife, and singing birds making the day truly special.
