Are you looking for a unique and memorable experience?

How does spending a full day out in the Badlands of Grasslands National Park with paleontologists sound? Be surrounded by stunning scenery while learning about the work that these professionals do. Get your hands in the dirt and use the same tools that have been discovering hidden fossils for years.

Fossil Fever runs from August 15 – 19th in the East Block of Grasslands National Park.

In 2019, I was lucky enough to be invited out for a day of Fossil Fever. My stepdaughter, who was 9 at the time, and I, both had the best time ever!

Our group was full of people from all ages and levels of interest in paleontology. I myself am not a huge dinosaur enthusiast, but I am always up for an adventure. An older gentleman knew all of the terminology and had high level questions about the topics being discussed. A few pre-teens were enthusiastically brushing away the dirt to help expose a triceratops shoulder blade.

How cool is that!

Spending 5 hours out in the East Block is special enough on its own but add in the unique experience of Fossil fever and you have memories that will last a lifetime.

You just may be a part of uncovering a record-breaking piece of history!
